Nacon has announced plans to compensate players for Solar Crown Unlimited Test Drive launch issues.
After the game was released on September 12, “many players felt their experience was marred by technical and server difficulties,” according to the publisher.
To address these launch issues, customers who play the game before September 30th will be offered two exclusive in-game items for free.
This includes a 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe off-road 'Adventurer' edition and a pack of five decals to customize their car.
It will be added to eligible players' inventories “in December, for the Season 2 opener.”
Nacon will release the game's second major patch on November 5 at 9am UTC.
“This update primarily focuses on graphical improvements for PS5,” he said. “This patch also optimizes game performance on PC and Xbox Series. Additionally, it includes networking improvements, peripheral compatibility improvements, and various bug fixes.”
VGC gave the game 3/5 stars in our Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown review.
“Solar Crown is a really fun open world racing game with solid handling and lots to do, but the world map is too big to maintain a consistent level of detail and loses its personality as a result,” we said.
“This, combined with occasional frame rate issues even in Performance mode, gives the game a rough feel. If you're looking for a new open world racer, we still recommend it, as long as you're not expecting anything groundbreaking.”
