Images comparing the size of the PlayStation 5 Pro console with the PS5 launch model and the Slim version have been released.
Ahead of the console's launch on Thursday, Sony has yet to publish the official dimensions of the PS5 Pro on its website.
However, this gave players a good indication of the size of the Pro when the console was first announced in September.
“We are keeping the appearance of the PS5 Pro consistent with the overall PS5 product line,” Sony Interactive Entertainment platform business group CEO Hideaki Nishino said at the time.
“You'll notice that it's the same height as the original PS5, and the same width as the current PS5 model to accommodate the higher performance specs.”
Digital Foundry has now confirmed the dimensions of the PS5 Pro after receiving the console before release, and compared the sizes of the three PS5 models in the video below.
The images above and below published by Famitsu also show off the original PS5 model, the Slim model, and the PS5 Pro side by side.
PS5 dimensions
- PS5 (first model): Approximately 390 mm x 260 mm x 104 mm
- PS5 Digital Edition (first model): Approximately 390 mm x 260 mm x 92 mm
- PS5 (Slim model): Approx. 358 mm x 216 mm x 96 mm
- PS5 Digital Edition (Slim model): Approx. 358 mm x 216 mm x 80 mm
- PS5 Pro: Approximately 388 mm x 216 mm x 89 mm
The PS5 Pro launches on November 7, priced at $700 / £700 / €800. Nishino said in a recent interview that development of the PS5 Pro began before the PS5 launched in November 2020.
On Monday Sony released the full list of PS5 titles that will benefit from the PS5 Pro hardware upgrade.
In total, 55 games will feature graphical enhancements like advanced ray tracing, PlayStation Super Spectral Resolution, and increased 60hz or 120hz framerates on day one, with “more to come.”
