Pokemon TCG Pocket Event already overlap, creating opportunities for promo cards and targets that require a lot of resources to eliminate.
Events in Pokemon Pocket can occur in many games and their features. Wonder Pick and Solo Battle have both hosted events within the game's first week or release, with possible room for online battle events in the future.
How to get the Pokemon Pocket Promo A package from the Lapras event
Launching on November 5th and coinciding with the Chansey Pick event, the Lapras EX Drop Event is a battle-oriented event and pack “drop” hitting Pokemon TCG Pocket. It ends on November 18.
It challenges you to battle Lapras decks across four difficulty levels, with rewards ranging from Shineddust and Shop Tokens to one-card promo packs with small card pools to pick from.
How to start the Lapras EX event and get the Package A Promo card
To take part in the Lapras EX Drop Event, open the Battle menu from the bottom. Tap Solo and you'll see a challenge of Lapras at the top of your deck that you can play against. Defeat one deck to reveal the next deck.
No matter how difficult it is for you to play, you have the opportunity to get the Promo Pack A Series Vol. 1 as a winning prize. The possible loss of the pack has not yet been revealed, but we got it from our first win against the Advanced and Expert Lapras EX decks.
If successful, you will find the A Series Vol Package Promo. 1 in the Gifts menu on the main screen. Just tap the Gift icon at the top. You will be asked to open the package when you claim it.
Series A Package Promo Vol. 1 package contains one of the following cards:
- Lapras EX
- Butter free
- Pikachu
- Mankey
- Clefairy
With all five likely being Kanto Pokemon, the Lapras EX event and its promo pack could be a good way to fill in the gaps you have in your Kanto collection, putting you one step closer to the secret card.
Chance to draw certain cards from the A Series Vol Package Promo. 1 is not displayed in the game.
How to get more Event Stamina in Pokemon TCG Pocket
Participating in Battle Events requires Event Stamina, with each difficulty level only taking one of your five potential Event Stamina tokens.
Once your Event Stamina runs out, you must wait 12 hours to recover just one Stamina.
To reach the 20+ battle requirement to complete each Lapras EX event objective, you may need to use the Event Hourglass.
You can earn 15 Event Hourglasses by completing five Battle Tasks in Beginner and Intermediate Lapras battles.
How to beat the Lapras EX Expert deck
As long as you don't want specific quest rewards, you can beat a Lapras EX deck on Expert difficulty with common cards like Zapdos, Zebstrika, X Speed, and Meowth.
Here's the deck we used to beat the Lapras/Starmie EX event deck on the highest difficulty:
- Zapdo (x2)
- Zebstrika (x2)
- Electros
- electricity
- Tynamo
- Lightning attack (x2)
- Pinkurchin (x2)
- Does not make sense
- meow
- X Speed (x2)
- Poke Balls (x2)
- Professor Research (x2)
- Giovanni
When we ran it, the computer started with Lapras EX and added others as well as Starmine EX in the first few runs.
Due to Lapras' high energy requirements, the computer may decide to add energy to a more manageable Pokemon such as Seaking or Golduck.
In this case, you can rely on Zebstrika to deal damage to the bench with one energy, dealing with the Pokemon they are trying to power up while their Lapras EX can't attack or retreat.
When you use Zebstrika, build Zapdos until it's ready to use. Use X Speed to swap for free to deliver the final blow.
If you've built a bench, choose carefully who to damage with the Zapdos counterattack to ensure you don't lose a single point.
Using X Speed to swap to something like Eelektric can help you deal good damage without risking it all. Make sure to manage your bench.
You can avoid damage by leaving it blank, but you'll immediately lose if Zapdos suddenly crashes.
