The first footage of Mortal Kombat 1's newest DLC character, Ghostface, has been shared online.
Mortal Kombat chief creative officer Ed Boon shared footage in X, showing the character battling Johnny Cage.
Ghostface is a killer from the Scream film series, but their identity varies in each film.
Since every Ghostface killer uses the same voice-changing device, Ghostface in Mortal Kombat 1 could theoretically be anyone.
Ghostface will be added to the game on November 19 for Early Access players, with a full release on November 26.
Ghostface is the 10th DLC character in Mortal Kombat 1, and the fourth character added as part of Kombat Pack 2.
The first Kombat Pack adds Omni-Man from Image Comics, Quan Chi, Peacemaker from The Suicide Squad, Ermac, Homelander from The Boys and Takeda Takahashi as playable fighters.
So far Kombat Pack 2 has added Mortal Kombat veterans Cyrax, Panggang and Noob Saibot, with Ghostface being the pack's first guest character.
The next Ghostface is the T-1000 from Terminator 2, and Conan the Barbarian. The character's release date has not been confirmed.
VGC's Mortal Kombat 1 review called the game “an excellent retcon that will appeal to both modern and old fans.”
“Mortal Kombat 1 is the best Mortal Kombat game to date,” we wrote. “It looks stunning, has a brilliant Story mode, its new Invasion mode will keep solo players busy and, most importantly, it's a lot of fun to play. It's important for die-hard fans, longtime fans and newcomers alike.”
