Guide BioWare suggests Mass Effect fans should temper expectations for N7 Day

BioWare has warned its fans not to get too excited about its plans for N7 Day on November 7.

The studio founded N7 Day in 2012 and it has since become an annual celebration of the Mass Effect series and its community.

In 2020, BioWare used N7 Day to announce that they were working on a new Mass Effect game, as well as a Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

The years since N7 Day have been used to reveal new concept art, provide some development updates, and release a new teaser trailer.

“We hope everyone enjoys their time in Dragon Age: The Veilguard,” the studio told X this week. “Just a few days until #N7Day and this year will be quieter because of the launch. However, be sure to check back for more fun!”

In a recent interview, Dragon Age: The Veilguard creative director John Epler told Rolling Stone that there are currently no plans to develop expansions for the game, and the studio's full focus has shifted to the next Mass Effect.

Franchise director and executive producer Mike Gamble said last month that the new Mass Effect would “maintain the mature tone of the original trilogy” and have photorealistic visuals “for my run.”

There are claims that the next Mass Effect game may not be released until 2029 or later.
