This Monday's patch notes are much longer than last Friday's, so let's summarize some of the highlights for you. To read the entire list in detail, we suggest checking out Treyarch's blog next.

Here are some of the major improvements covered in the November 4 patch notes:

Balance between assault rifles and machine guns

Players have been discussing weapon balance Black operations 6and this time the developers took the time to make some changes to assault rifles and submachine guns, in particular.

For ARs, the goal was to reduce the minimum range while reducing or stabilizing the close-range damage of headshots. The XM4, AK-74, AMES 85, GPR 91, Model L, Goblin Mk2 and AS VAL were affected by these changes.

As for SMGs, the focus has been on medium-range effectiveness. The solution found by the developers was to increase the damage range on all levels. The C9, KSV, Tanto .22, PP-919, Jackal PDW and Kompakt 92 were modified accordingly.

Bug fixes and improvements

In this latest patch, several stability changes have been made, such as in the Infected game mode and when sending voice communications. You can find them listed in different sections of the notes.

Among the improvements and fixes, there are some UI fixes, as well as animation fixes and spawn fixes. The developers are also working on a more widespread improvement to the spawn optimization logic, saying it will be “a continuous process of acquiring data, reviewing gameplay, and making measured adjustments in the live environment.” The goal is to make spawns as safe as possible.

I'm still investigating Gunsmith

However, not all known issues have been resolved in this update. The developers also include a note about how “any equipped optical attachment” ends up being removed “when accessing the Gunsmith in the main menus.” They are still working out solutions for this.

Since they are aware of the issue but are still working on a fix, they have also included more details and a suggested workaround to avoid running into this issue. For example, entering the Gunsmith during a match does not trigger the issue and it is possible to re-equip removed accessories, reapplying the blueprint if necessary.
