Slitterhead director Keiichiro Toyama says that like previous games, horror title Slitterhead will offer players an original experience – even if the results are 'rough'.

Speaking to GameRant, director Toyama said: “Since the first Silent Hill, we have maintained a commitment to freshness and originality, even if that means being a little rough around the edges. That attitude remains consistent throughout my work and in Slitterhead.”

Slitterhead will be released for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on November 8.

Earlier this year, VGC spoke with Toyama about his time at PlayStation Studios, and his hopes for his first release under Bokeh.

“With Sony, there's an increasing motive to make higher-budget games, and they want to do the same with the Japan Studio brand,” Toyama told VGC.

“My motive has always been to create original games. I felt like I could do this without a big budget. It allows me to express myself too. By being independent, it allows me to do just that. Since I've been at Sony, I feel like I've achieved what I wanted to do.”

In December 2020, Toyama left PlayStation to form Bokeh Game Studio with Junya Okura, lead designer of the Gravity Rush series, and Kazunobu Sato, lead designer of the PS3 exclusive Puppeteer.
