Snoop Dogg has taken over the central complex in this new season of Fortnite. The formidable island, which once belonged to Midas, is now guarded by Snoop and the ghost henchmen. Under the building is a vault, which only the player with Snoop's key card can access.
Finding the vault can be quite easy, but fighting the henchmen, the other Fortnite players, and defeating Snoop himself is another thing entirely. Luckily, there are some helpful tips to guide players in a successful heist at The Doggpound.
How to Defeat Snoop and Get the Vault Keycard in Fortnite
Snoop Dogg can usually be found wandering around the lower levels of The Doggpound. He is holding a drum pistol of mythic rarity, which is quite powerful, so you should come prepared. Snoop is also surrounded by ghost henchmen and his own bodyguards, so be careful of them. Once you've taken it down, you'll be able to access the vault in the lower left area of The Doggpound.
When trying to defeat Snoop, it's best to explore your surroundings first. As you descend, also observe where other players land. The best places to launch are at the edges of the complex, staying on the lower levels and taking advantage of the vents. There are a few spots in the low areas and near the steps where you can find a red phone booth – jump in and disguise yourself as a ghost henchman.
As a ghost henchman, you can now use locked doors and unlock any special chests with a face scanner. Unfortunately, these large chests contain nothing special, but they are still worth opening. With a disguise you are free to wander undisturbed by the guards, but be careful: once you fire your weapon, your disguise disappears!
By sticking to the lower levels, it becomes quite easy to take out a bunch of henchmen. Make sure you're fully healed before facing Snoop, as that mythical drum gun is no joke. Your weapon doesn't have to be particularly powerful as long as your aim is good and you know when to fall back and heal.
Once Snoop is eliminated, take his key card and head to the vault. It is located on the left side of the complex. If there are other players still around, or you simply want to protect yourself from possible attacks while looting the vault, build stone or metal walls near the stairs and sides.
It's always possible that some sneaky player will take the opportunity to camp in the area, waiting for you to do all the work! The vault usually contains some rare chests and another special compound chest, as well as of course some ammo boxes. You should be able to find everything you need to master the rest of the game.
